Fund Types

SBTF Enhanced Cash Fund

This fund is designed to provide preservation of capital, stable cash balances, and the opportunity to earn modest returns through investment in short-term bonds, treasuries, and asset-backed securities. It is recommended for accounts with an investment horizon of three years or less and maintains an average life and effective duration of approximately one year with the average credit quality of Aa3. The SBTF Enhanced Cash Fund may suit clients seeking stable returns on cash balances while maintaining liquidity.

SBTF Group Income Fund

This Fund is comprised of Guidestone Mutual Funds, the Group Income Fund is designed to provide higher returns than treasuries by investing in low-duration, medium-duration, and global bonds. The underlying mutual funds are screened to support biblical values and exclude investment in companies recognized as being in the alcohol, tobacco, gambling, or other industries that violate Christian values. Investors should be willing to accept short-term fluctuations in account value and have at least a medium-term investment horizon of 3-5 years.

SBTF Group Equity Fund

This Fund is comprised of Guidestone Mutual Funds, the Group Equity Fund is designed to provide higher, long-term rates of return than treasuries or bonds by investing in value, growth, small cap, and international equities.  The underlying mutual funds are screened to support biblical values and exclude investment in companies recognized as being in the alcohol, tobacco, gambling, or other industries that violate Christian values.  Investors should be willing to accept medium-term fluctuations in account value and have at least a medium-term investment horizon of five years.  While the Group Equity Fund can be used individually, it is most often used in combination with the Group Income Fund and Group Alternatives Fund to create a blended fund portfolio that is either conservative, balanced, or growth oriented.

SBTF Group Alternatives Fund

This Fund is comprised of Guidestone Mutual Funds, the Group Alternatives Fund is designed to provide current income with lower volatility than fixed income or equity investments and deliver long-term capital appreciation by investing in real estate and strategic alternatives. The underlying mutual funds are screened to support biblical values and exclude investment in companies recognized as being in the alcohol, tobacco, gambling, or other industries that violate Christian values. Investors should be willing to accept short-term fluctuations in account value and have at least a medium-term investment horizon of 3-5 years. The Group Alternatives Fund is intended to be added to a blended fund portfolio to increase diversification and reduce volatility.

SBTF Endowment Fund

This fund is a multi-asset class fund actively managed by PNC Institutional Asset Management and utilizes a manager of managers approach. The Endowment Fund is negatively screened to address Christian value concerns. PNC performs due diligence and sub-adviser evaluation, selection, and monitoring. When making allocation decisions, PNC considers qualitative and quantitative factors, past performance, and risk management analysis. The fund seeks the higher returns often associated with larger equity allocations and is best suited for clients with a long-term investment horizon and a relatively high tolerance for risk.
